Our History

We are Jean-Marc and Françoise, a couple who, after many years in Luxembourg, decided to change their lives and take a new direction.

For nearly 30 years, Jean-Marc worked as a banker in Luxembourg, while Françoise worked there as a secretary. It was a fulfilling professional life, but one that was sometimes intense and very stressful. At one point, we both felt the same desire: to slow down, get back to what really matters, and live differently.

So, we took the plunge.

Today, we’re happy to share this new chapter in our lives with you through our bed-and-breakfast. It’s a place that reflects who we are, where we look forward to welcoming our guests with simplicity, warmth, and good cheer.

Jean-Marc has been passionate about music since he was a child and has been running for many years. A multiple marathon runner, he loves challenges, but also enjoys moments of calm and rejuvenation. He has also developed a passion for Reiki and reflexology, completed the necessary training, and is now a Reiki Master.

Françoise, for her part, has always been passionate about cooking. She loves entertaining, preparing delicious meals, and, above all, bringing joy to those gathered around her table. And because a sense of community doesn’t stop at the kitchen, she’s also a huge fan of beer and Belgium’s brewing heritage.

We’re both festive, carnival-loving people. We love the atmosphere, meeting new people, traditions, and those moments when we simply get together to laugh, sing, and share. Our love for Belgian hospitality is also reflected in our membership in brotherhoods in Belgium, which allow us to fully experience this spirit of sharing and discovery.

We have four grown children who are now living independently. This new chapter in our lives allows us to devote more time to what matters most to us: welcoming others, sharing, connecting, and enjoying life to the fullest.

Our guesthouse is, in a way, a reflection of this change in our lives. We want to make it a warm and lively place where everyone can feel at ease, take some time to relax, and—why not?—share a good meal with us, explore the local area, or simply enjoy some friendly company.

After a career marked by the fast pace and stress of life in Luxembourg, we decided to prioritize spending time with others, simple pleasures, and time for ourselves.
